Tell us about yourself?
Currently, I am a founder and director of 1516 Green Energy Technology Company, a business with innovative green products that benefit remote areas with electricity and renewable energy applications for green urban development.
I am an architect so starting a business in an almost different field is a difficult challenge. However, I always aim for sustainable values that benefit the community and make the earth greener.
What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?
I think that startup people in general think that they are the only ones with this one unique idea….and no one can imiatate or copy, and unique ideas will determine the success of the startup.
In my opinion, In this world it is very difficult to create a new invention that no one has thought of yet.
A unique idea cannot alone determine the success of a start-up, in addition to a unique idea, there are many other factors that affect startups such as the right business model, right startup team, marketing strategies, etc….
If you could go back in time to any moment from your journey, and give yourself one tip, what would it be?
If I go back in time, I would start a business earlier, around 20 years old. I also want to travel a lot and read more books to gain more knowledge and experience.
What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?
That is creativity. I am an architect, I bring architectural creativity into the design of the company’s products. I always aim for products that protect the environment and bring many benefits to the community.
What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?
I think it is the general management of the whole company, risk management and experience in dealing with risks such as the covid epidemic in the last 3 years.
Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?
Most of my company are environmentalists, so they are passionate about creating innovative products that protect the environment.
Where do you see your business in five years?
In the next 5 years, we aim to produce products that protect the environment, solve the problem of environmental pollution and global warming, which are algae air purifiers and moss conditioners.
These are products that combine biology and technology, providing a natural air purification solution.
What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?
Previously, my company designed and manufactured small wind turbines for the poor in remote areas throughout Vietnam. This is a social impact project.
However, the company’s strategy changed and we gradually switched to commercial products, which are renewable energy applications for sustainable urban development. During this transition period, the biggest challenge we face is financial.
Talk to us about your biggest success story so far?
We have brought electricity to poor people, schools in remote areas in 15 provinces and cities across the country.
How do clients and customers find you? Are you much of a salesperson for yourself?
We hardly have to find customers. Most of our customers find us on their own thanks to our unique solution that is not available in the market and thanks to the influence of the media.
We participate in many domestic and international startup programs, so potential customers also know us through these channels.
What one tip would you give to fellow startup founders?
Always try to keep a balance between family and work even though this is very difficult. When you keep this balance, you won’t lose everything.
And finally, what do you hope the future brings both you personally, and your business?
I hope my company’s algae air purifier and moss conditioner products will be well accepted by the market, this means that me and the company will contribute to reducing air pollution, reducing C02 gas. causes climate change and overall I’m very happy to make the earth greener.
