How did you end up as a CEO? What was your route to this position?

Long story short, I was invited to join the project in a super early stage and I remained strongly believing that the tools we use on daily basis have a strong effect on our work-life balance and that there is a time to build one that will allow us to gain more life while not sacrificing work results.

Why are you the right person to be the CEO of your company?

This question would be better answered by my team. Being a CEO, quite often brings unexpected situations that require high level of self-control and humbleness yet combined with direct communication skills and ability to make a decision, even when not the most popular one.

I might be scoring well in some of the above areas, and I’m always learning how to do better πŸ™‚

What gets you up in the morning?

These days it’s my 6 months old son learning how to sing. Sometimes it’s a vivid dream and sometimes it’s an excitement to go surfing or snowboarding in a freshly fallen powder.

But every now and then it’s an alarm that’s been going on already for a while.

Who helped you get to where you are today?

Everyone I worked with, everyone I studied with, everyone I spent free time with and also everyone I disagreed with. While some people might have had stronger influence in certain way, it would not be fair to highlight just few.

If you could go back in time to when you were a teenager, what life advice would you give yourself?

β€œBe like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves.

Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

What are the most important values you demonstrate as a leader?

Please do ask my team, I’d provide biased answer.

How can a leader fail?

Million and one different ways.

What does the next five years hold for you?

A lot of great moments with my growing children while discovering the world full of challenges together and a lot of great lessons coming out of these challenges.

Mentorship is a big business in the west, do you have any experience with it?

I see mentorship as a form of education and in my opinion education should not be a business driven by a greed.

If people want to reach out to your or your business, what is the best way for them to go about doing that?

Feel free to contact me on LinkedIn or Twitter, my company offers multiple ways to reach out, all can be found on our website.
