Tell us about yourself?

Hello!
My name is Stacy, and I work at Revo Social. When I’m not at Revo, I enjoy trying out new cooking recipes and going for the occasional run.

What do you think is the single biggest misconception people have when it comes to startups?

I’m not really sure! If I had to guess, maybe that all you need is a good idea. I think it takes a lot more than a good idea to make a startup succeed!

If you could go back in time to any moment from your journey, and give yourself one tip, what would it be?

It’s important to get feedback from your users! They have more to say than you think.

What makes you stand out as an entrepreneur?

I don’t know that anything does :). I’m just a person trying to help people post to social media platforms.

What are some of the best working habits you’ve gained over the past couple of years?

Set times to get work done, and commit to getting work done during those times. Schedules are important!

Give us a bit of an insight into the influences behind the company?

I have many friends who have been trying to increase their exposure in social media, and they didn’t want to pay the exorbitant amounts that other social media engagement platforms charge. When I was talking with them about it, I thought “We can do that!”.

I didn’t want the average consumer and small businesses to have to pay lots of money to get access to the same social media engagement tools. Thus, Revo Social was born!

Where do you see your business in five years?

Continuing to grow even further! With many more features and plenty more users! Five years is a long time, though, so I bet some of this will change..

What do you think the biggest challenge will be for you in getting there?

That is the question, isn’t it? I’m not sure, yet. If I had to guess, it would currently be trying to expedite the process.

Talk to us about your biggest success story so far?

Gaining the ability to post to the Instagram platform was our biggest accomplishment by far! When we started working on Revo Social, Instagram stopped allowing consumers from using its platform to post on behalf of customers. It took a while for us to be able to gain that ability, and it has been great for us ever since!

How do clients and customers find you? Are you much of a salesperson for yourself?

We’ve been seeing a majority of traffic coming from social media, believe it or not! Revo Social advertises, but our clients’ posts do that for us, too. If you asked me, I would say I’m not much of a salesperson; but oftentimes others’ perceptions are different.

What one tip would you give to fellow startup founders?

Don’t give up.
It’s corny, but I like the quote from Edison: “I have not failed, not once. I’ve discovered ten thousand ways that don’t work.”

And finally, what do you hope the future brings both you personally, and your business?

For Revo Social, I hope that it continues to grow and succeed; and I hope that all of you stop by and give it a shot!
For myself, I hope to find a couple of staples as I navigate this ocean of recipes!
